Group CEO

David was appointed Group Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Upfield in July 2018. David was previously Chairman and CEO of Grohe Group, and subsequently CEO of Lixil Water Technology Group. At Grohe, David led the complete transformation of the business over a 10-year period. He joined Grohe from Vodafone, where he served as the company’s first Global Marketing Director, building Vodafone into a successful, top ten global brand within three years and across multiple markets. Prior to this, David was Deputy Division President of The Coca-Cola Company in Germany, and for 10 years a General Manager for Mars across different European markets.

Florence Naviner

Chief Financial Officer

Florence joined Upfield in September 2020. Florence has almost 30 years of experience working for Mars Incorporated where she held several senior positions – most recently as Chief Financial Officer and Senior Vice President of Mars Wrigley. She has a wealth of finance and strategic management experience and a strong track record in business turnarounds, value creation programs, business and finance transformations, debt management, M&A projects and leading strong finance teams with a focus on talent development.

David Salkeld

Chief Customer Officer

David joined Upfield with over 30 years-experience as a senior leader in the food sector. He was formerly CEO at Symington’s, Grampian Country Foods Group, and Arla Foods, as well as a Managing Director at Northern Dairies Limited. He has held chairman of the board positions at Wensleydale Dairy Products and Muscle Foods.

Detlef Schmitz

General Counsel

Detlef joined Upfield with over 20 years-experience as in-house legal counsel for global consumer companies. He served as General Counsel and a Member of the Board of Managers at Grohe Group and subsequently as the General Counsel of of Lixil Water Technology Group. Prior to that, Detlef was Head of the Legal Department for the Coca-Cola Company in Germany.

Eve Baldwin

Chief Human Resources Officer

Eve joined Upfield with over 20 years-experience in human resources and talent management and M&A. Previously, she was Vice President of HR at Unilever’s spreads and personal care divisions and before that at the Ford Motor Company in Europe.

Gerry Mulvin

Chief Product Officer

Gerry joined Upfield following 15 years in senior leadership positions at Joyou AG and its parent company Grohe Group, a leading global consumer goods company focused on bathroom solutions and kitchen fittings. Prior to this, Gerry was a Partner at the management consulting firm Bain & Company.

Jeanette Fielding

Chief Corporate Affairs & Communications Officer

Jeanette joined Upfield after twenty years at some of the world’s largest consumer products and healthcare companies. She has reputation for building corporate reputation, managing reputational risks, building stakeholder relationships, and developing strategy and policies for the most critical issues facing business. She has served in senior leadership roles covering global public affairs and policy, corporate communication, and issues management for companies including Bayer, Mars and Pfizer.

Laurent Lavenut

Chief Operations Officer

Laurent joined Upfield with over 20 years-experience in global operations and supply chain management for consumer and food companies. Previously, he was a Senior Vice President for supply chain at the Consumer Beauty Division at Coty and, before that, served as a Vice President of Operations at Danone’s Advanced Medical Nutrition Division and Danone Russia.

Rogier Smeets

Regional President of Europe

Rogier joined Upfield with over 15 years of commercial and marketing experience on global and local food brands at Unilever. He held senior leadership positions in the foods business across Europe, America and South-East Asia. He now leads Upfield’s Southern and Central Eastern Europe business.

Tim Brown

President & CEO, Americas

Tim joined Upfield with over 30 years-experience leading sales, marketing, and business operations for some of America’s leading food companies. He has a reputation for transforming brands into recognized market leaders. Previously, he was President and COO at Chobani, and prior to that had a long career at Nestle as CEO of the North American water business and CEO of Canada operations. Prior to that, Tim was with P&G.

Tim Verbeek

Regional President Africa, Middle East & Asia-Pacific

Tim joined Upfield with over 20 years of brand development, commercial and general management experience across various local, regional and global roles within FMCG companies such as Unilever and Heineken in addition to running two of his own companies as Founder and CEO. Tim now leads Upfields’ eight Business Units spanning Africa, Middle East & Asia-Pacific.
