Production Manager

Business Context and Main Challenges of the job :

  • Fully responsible for all the operations of Factory, to ensure the safe (complying with good occupational health and safety, and environmental standards), efficient and reliable manufacture of the required quantities of products at agreed time, quality and costs.
  • To ensure continuous improvement of plant efficiencies, quality and safety and reduction of production costs, waste,
  • Manage and facilitate employee by counselling, coaching and mentoring programs

Job Descriptions :

  • Is responsible for manufacturing resource scheduling (material, manpower, utilities, plant capability)
  • Is responsible for driving agreed Manufacturing strategy on the shop floor
  • Assists the Production Plan & Evaluation in the preparation of weekly, cycle and regular production plans
  • Plans to meet increases in capacity indicated by long term sales forecasts
  • Co-operates with the Quality Assurance Manager in the delivery of total Quality throughout the Soaps or Foods operation
  • Co-operates with Engineering Manager in the delivery of plant reliability in the Soap or Foods Factory
  • Co-operates with the Man. Ex Manager in the planning and implementation of TPM/continuous improvement activities
  • Co-operates with SUIT Manager in the delivery of product Innovation, Capability & reliability in the Soap or Foods Factory
  • Co-operates with Supply Planning Manager in aligning Capacity vs Production Order in regular basis
  • Co-operates with Procurement for handling commodity Material in overflow Warehouse
  • Co-operates in the preparation of the training programmes for subordinate staff.
  • Responsible for a strategic and tactical operation of the BoF (Back of Factory) warehouse
  • Making sure stock accuracy of both RM’s PM’s and FG’s
  • Responsible for any inbound our outbound material through the factory BoF
  • Implement warehouse safety guideline, including to monitor condition of racks, MHE, and also operators

Requirements :

  • Minimum BSc in engineering/ Industrial management
  • 3-5years of experience in production of FMCG Company
  • Understand the impact of the manufacturing operation on the key indicators for the business
  • Experience in manufacturing resource scheduling, focused improvement and other tools
