The role

As our Global E-store Specialist you have the unique opportunity to work on one of the most exciting new upcoming fields in Upfield Professional. You are responsible to define and coordinate ecommerce, content, data and development activities related to digital shelves of our trade partners (e.g. wholesalers, cash & carry). You define the program to make our chefs and bakers products stand-out on the digital shelves of all relevant online trade web shops with the ambition to realize an above offline market share of the online orders for our products. The role requires a T-shaped digital professional – holding broad digital knowledge and specific expertise on digital shelf expertise related to e-commerce and/or e-category management.

Being a key participation of KKR (leading global private equity firm) Upfield has impressive growth ambitions. Digital shelf revenue in Upfield Professional should grow by 500% over the coming 3-5 years. You are supported by state of the art digital marketing infrastructure and experienced agencies. You will report to the global head of digital marketing and ecommerce sitting in the central marketing team of Upfield Professional (based in Rotterdam). You will collaborate closely with best in class digital marketeers that are based in the Upfield digital team in Amsterdam.

Key responsibilities

In this role you:

  • Define the plan to stand-out on the digital food shelves by making use of content, monitoring tooling and existing digital opportunities of wholesales and experts within the company
  • Curate plan and execute in joint collaboration with key launching markets (North America, UKI, Netherlands, Germany and Spain)
  • Ensure content management processes (creation, production and publication) are geared towards perfect digital shelf performance
  • Assess landscape of digital monitoring toolings, cater for vendor selection and successful implementation of the tooling
  • Ensure monitoring tooling is used well – drive non-stop test & learn loops (track performance, improve and evaluate)
  • Produce playbook on capability building for e-trade marketing, define winning propositions and land this successfully in the selected countries
  • Support countries in successful dealmaking with trade partners
  • Establish a central relationship with key global online food service platforms (Amazon Businesses, JD.com, GoJek.id, etc etc)
  • Drive web site traffic to shopping baskets of wholesaler web shops
  • Engage into data partnerships with major online food platforms to boost traffic building and sales conversion

About you

Obviously you are experienced in e-trademarketing and metrics, ideally you have 5+ years work experience in this field. You know what it takes to make a company grow significantly via digital channels, you have hade your insightful successes and mistakes and you can hit the ground running. You are obsessed by customer insights: what does the customer want/need? How can we trigger that need? How can we best explain the solution? And how can we best support the digital operator journeys via owned and earned/paid channels?

As we are foodies on a healthy mission it is highly recommended that you align to the things we do and the aspirations we have.

You focus on the solution rather than the problem. If you are a self-starter who can work in a start-up and unstructured environment, we are a great company for you.

Salary : Around 80K
