About the Role!

We have an excellent opportunity available for an experienced retail channel manager to make a difference at Upfield in the strategically important market of Saudi Arabia.  

The role encompasses managing the distributor relationship and sales team effectively to deliver the sales targets set.  The responsibility is broad as you will be required to manage multiple key account relationships within the channel to further develop our brands.  This role will have a lot of importance within the organization, reporting directly to the Head of Sales Middle East and regular exposure to the senior management team, it is therefore critical you can communicate effectively, be confident and own your business performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Management of all Retail channels including Modern Trade, Traditional Trade and Ecommerce utilizing the Distributor sales and merchandising team.
  • Own the sales plan using multiple tools such as trade promotions, visibility, distribution and NPD launches to meet your targets (Volume, Revenues, Profitability, Spend Efficiency)
  • Review performance weekly and ensure accurate and timely forecasting of Distributor sales within the standard operating process. Present monthly the opportunities and risks during business reviews with senior management.        
  • Key account management including budget control and execution of promotional plans
  • Open new customers in all channels with new business development agreements and long-term growth objectives
  • Increase Numeric and Weighted distribution across multiple regions across multiple categories
  • Drive the portfolio expansion strategy to bring new products to the market under the right brands

About You!

Hard Skills

  • Bachelor or Master Degree;
  • Channel Head or higher experience in a top company
  • A high degree of familiarity and practice of IT skills related to use of Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, MS Excel
  • A strong command over English with an ability to understand and communicate clearly and effectively, Arabic as a first or second language is preferred
