About the Role!

The Logistics specialist is responsible for the logistics operations across the Canadian geography, including warehousing, primary, inbound, and secondary transport, ensuring service to factories & customers at the right cost. The Logistics Lead drives execution of the distribution strategy to deliver against growth plans of the company, and works with internal stakeholders to align on cost savings targets and improvement opportunities within the Supply Chain network.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Coach and develop 3 Logistics Associates to deliver against their service and cost KPIs while managing stakeholders in cross functional environments. 
  • Supervise transportation planning and oversee operations with 3PL warehouse to ensure that the team is meeting the needs of the supply chain and the business.
  • Manage the flow of internal work to ensure coverage and properly serve the needs of the internal/external customers. 
  • Initiate and lead continuous improvement projects to streamline operations and improve ways of working with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Balance the operational tradeoffs between internal business constraints and external customer requirements.

 

Minimum Requirements:

*This is an 18 month fixed contract on Upfield Payroll*

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in Logistics, Supply Chain, Operations, or Business Management
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in Logistics or Supply Chain Planning in a Consumer Packaged Goods environment required
  • Minimum 2 years of people leadership experience required
  • Advanced technical skills with MS Office, SAP
