Financial Controller - 1 Year project

Financial Controller – Factory, 1 year project.

Within Upfields factory site in Rotterdam, we are looking for a Temporary Financial Controller to join the Finance team and cooperate in both the continuation of the operations and where needed support the closure of the production site, planned for mid 2022. You will work together with the Finance Business Partner on site, and you contribute to the finance function in the factory, driving the financial performance and assuring financial control. Together with the Finance Business Partner, you will be responsible for all finance processes, which is the continuous operations as well as the closure of the operations on site.  

The key responsibilities in this role are to drive financial performance of the site and ensure a delivery of costs targets. Also, you ensure that all financial procedures are operating according to the group policies (internal control). Your main business partners will be the Finance Business Partner, the European Head of Supply Chain Finance Manager and teams, and the internal Factory teams.

Daily, you will focus on the budget- and forecast planning and the delivery of the factory results. You will manage and report all Capital Expenditure, and focus on fixed assets management. As long as operation is running, you will be responsible of all inventory accounting and valuation and product costing. You ensure an accurate and timely reporting of the actuals and financial forecasting. Also, you manage and report on the cash flow, the internal-and external audit process and the actual production waste reporting. In addition, different ad-hoc tasks and responsibilities may arise.

For this role, we are looking for someone available as soon as possible for a period of at least 1 full year. This could be either on an Upfield contract or as Independent Worker (ZZP). To be up and running quickly, we are looking for someone with a (financial) Bachelor and relevant Finance experience, preferably within a Supply Chain / production environment. You are efficient in English, both written & spoken. We are working with SAP so any experience with this system, is preferred. Any experience with working in cross function teams within a matrix environment is desirable as well.

This role is for a minimum of 1 year, after this period there may arise internal opportunities, but nothing can be promised regarding this at this time.
