The Marketing Operations role is fundamental to the successful delivery of the full UKI innovation and renovation agenda. This role is utterly central to all elements of our marketing plan. You are right at the heart of the marketing team and probably the most connected to every role in our organisation – requiring a close connection with stakeholders in UKI and in the wider international Upfield community.
The purpose of the role is twofold:
Project Management of all UKI innovation & renovation projects
We have a full innovation and renovation pipeline that requires careful navigation though our internal gate process. You will be responsible for managing the process – and ensuing accurate and timely inputs into the process from (chiefly) brand, finance and supply chain managers. You will play the coordinating role to assemble and expedite the information and templates required to move us quickly and effectively through the funnel.
Coordination of artwork process
A key part of the Marketing Operations role is the effective management of artwork changes across multiple brands. This includes full design changes and also small but critical tactical amends. Working closely with the brand and technical team you will be responsible for coordinating, managing and progressing the projects through Upfield artwork management systems.
Simply put, you thrive by being the ultimate process guru, networker and expert ‘wrangler of stakeholders’. You are a process expert – with a professional eye for detail and the personality to network and drive stakeholder engagement. We need you to own the process and hold stakeholders to account to ensure deadlines are delivered OTIF!
Key skills & experience
- Experience managing artwork process in an FMCG environment – including use of major artwork management systems / platforms.
- Experience interacting with artwork specialists including third party design / production agencies – and packaging suppliers.
- Project management experience ideally in an FMCG environment. Intimate connection with and experience of navigating internal gate processes and attending NPD and cross functional product boards / meetings.
- Experience and confidence of presenting progress vs plan at a senior level – including leadership teams. Given the significance of this role to the delivery of business-critical projects, this role will be a core partner to the UKI LT and work closely with this group.
