Channel Category Manager

Contributing to our Channel Category strategies, working on various different projects at the same time, developing yourself within category management & e-commerce, and contributing to ‘a better plant-based future’?

Within Upfield Belgium, we are looking for a Channel Category Manager, it’s your purpose to translate Upfields Category vision into channel strategies and further develop our E-commerce activities.

About the role
Together with the Senior Trade Category Manager retail and the sales team, you will be able to leverage the full capability of our local go to market organization to sustainably grow our business. You will develop strong channel category plans (with an important focus on the e-commerce channel) and build strong customer relationships to grow our business ahead of the market. You will define the role of each category/channel combination and analyse the 4P's per channel to develop shopper insights. You will create channel specific action plans and cooperate in channel relevant Joint-Business-Plans for our Key customers with the greatest growth potential. Next to developing and executing all channel specific action plans, you will continuously follow up, evaluate, and optimize the business on channel & customer channel level.

Next to various category management strategies, you will get de opportunity within this role to further develop your knowledge and experience with Ecommerce activities as well. You will get the opportunity to learn from colleagues from various other departments and countries to follow-up the Ecommerce strategy (Fit for Ecom, Performance Marketing, Data sharing). You will optimize content & track digital shelf performance (portfolio availability, perfect digital shelf, Search Engine Optimization). You will track and measure the performance of the E-commerce channel, increase revenue effectiveness of spend and take appropriate actions based on analysis.

You will aim to grow Upfield business stronger in the growing, profitable retail channels through our products to achieve our business targets on both growth & profit. 

About you
You bring a few years of experience within the Belgian FMCG or retail landscape to drive our Plant based growth agenda year on year. Your strong personality and entrepreneurial spirit will help you to identify and develop collaboration opportunities to achieve growth in both short and long term. Next to relevant Channel Category management experience, bringing any experience with E-commerce strategies is preferred. You will bring a good understanding of business financials (P&L, value chain) and analytical skills. To be successful in this role, and within Upfield, it is essential to speak fluently Dutch, English and French.
