About the Role!

Upfield’s Global Finance FP&A team is looking for a FP&A SAP BPC Data Administrator, to join this best-in-class team of professionals.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Updating the Calculated Key Figures accounts in BPC.
  • Have dotted line to Controllers team (part of “extended” team) so that whenever new accounts are created, the BPC admin can update the Calculated Key Figures accounts in BPC.
  • Most of the key figures in BPC are based on nodes so minimal maintenance but some of them are GL-based and therefore need to be updated if new GLs are created.
  • Following key deadlines for the following:
  • RTCBCT update in SAP on D+3 in SAP (RTCBCT is a transaction in SAP that changes the YTG period so that when actuals come through for FC03 March for example, you change the YTG from 2022003 to 2022004 which means Jan-Mar is YTD and April (004) onwards is YTG.
  • Initialization on D+10 or before the automated S&OP Vol load on the 2nd full Friday of the month – whichever comes first. Initialization includes copying prior forecast into the new forecast >> Ex: FC03 > FC04 > FC06
  • Initialization will also include bringing in any list price rates or COGS rates that need to be updated directly from the system (not from prior forecast); this can be determined by working with FP&A and markets if new updates from SAP are needed
  • Acting as the point person on all BPC-related communications. This includes emailing all finance BPC users regarding RTCBCT Actuals update, initialization update, outages, updates to key figures, changes to reports, new dimensions, etc.
  • Working with users on CRs or SRs for changes / updates that the business needs in the system.  For example, the Admin could have taken the lead in requesting, defining requirements, implementing, testing and adding the navigational attribute dimension for Business Type to the Adhoc query and other reports (Core vs Arivia) in BPC after FP&A team requested it.
  • Creating, updating or editing ABAP or FOX coding within the system if necessary
  • Supporting the IBP to BPC volume loading and reconciliation (from the S&OP cycle)
  • Taking a proactive lead in managing the BPC system testing and maintenance with IT service provider (Accenture) and ensuring issues are solved in reasonable time frames and key deadlines are met
  • Leading the testing of and supporting further development on the established EVA (earning variance analysis)
  • Reconciliation of BPC, BW and Power BI reporting…all three systems pull from SAP and should have the same numbers even if they each contain their own reports for different purposes
  • Working closely with others on the FP&A team for continuous improvement projects, issue resolution, initialization and adhoc topics that may arise
  • Acting as both the steward of the Upfield financial planning system and the liaison between Finance and IT as it relates to BPC

Must have Finance and IT background.

Ideal candidates have IT knowledge to do the tasks required and have extensive Finance background to understand BPC, how users use BPC, financial timelines and key themes like actualization and initialization.  Ideally, Admin would also be able to adjust configuration and edit ABAP coding.

About you!

  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4-6 years of relevant work experience, including experience in FP&A systems and BPC, ideally BPC Optimize which is housed within the SAP platform
  • Advanced SAP knowledge and experience, ideally with S/4 Hana version
  • Strong analytical skills and IT savvy, with system knowledge on BPC, Power BI, BW
  • Prior experience with ABAP coding, composite providers, query design, FOX code
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills with ability to respond under pressure
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills especially Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Very strong work ethic, resilience in the face of pressure, good team player, ability to meet multiple stretching deadlines
  • A 'can do' attitude, creative problem solver and keen on innovation

What’s next?  Part of the process will be a 30-minute video interview.
