Supplier Quality Internship

Are you currently studying food safety/quality/ food technology? Do you want to gain experience in the food industry? We have an exciting Supplier Quality Internship in our brand new Upfield Food Science Centre (Wageningen campus) with the Central Quality team.

You will ensure the constant high quality and food safety of Upfield products, with a focus on applying and maintaining robust quality procedures for the management of Upfield ingredients and packaging materials suppliers.

You will support Upfield Global Quality to implement and maintain end-to-end quality standards and processes that ensure legal compliance, food safety and high quality.

You will ensure Upfield quality standards and requirements are applied to all ingredients and packaging materials suppliers.

You will support in implementation and maintenance of the Supplier Quality Management tool Safefood 360:

You will improve Suppliers’ engagement with SF360:

  • Maintain correct quality contact information of Suppliers.
  • Understand the relationship between certain Suppliers’ head office and manufacturing sites, with support from the Procurement team and build the relationship accordingly in SF360 system.
  • Lead weekly invites acceptance status review with the Procurement team.
  • In rare cases where the suppliers are unwilling to use SF360 system, collect data from the suppliers and upload the files to SF360.
  • Evaluate and approve Pre-Assessments for Supplier Site Approval in SF360.

So, what does it take to be successful in this role?

You are a student in Food Quality, Food Technology, or similar degrees (enrolled in Bachelor or Master studies), preferably with hands-on experience. (Ideally living in Wageningen)

You have knowledge and understanding of Food safety and quality.

You have good attention to detail and good analytical skills, while practically minded.

You have strong organizational skills, and the ability to handle multi-tasking in a very flexible and fast-moving environment.

You have a strong affinity for Microsoft Office & Excel.

Hybrid working environment (Flexibility to do a 32-hour per week internship/ 4 days)

Ideally a 6-month internship

Internship allowance:

MBO (BOL, BBL): € 250 (Based on 40 hours per week)

HBO, WO: € 500 (Based on 40 hours per week)
