About the position!
We are currently looking for a Category Manager to join our Trade Marketing team in Athens office and who will directly report to the Trade Marketing Manager.
As a Trade Category Manager Retail you will be responsible for translating Upfield’s category vision into the point of sales and for analyzing performance and results.
The main responsibility of the role is to develop category’s promotional strategy. Implementing this strategy in the point of sales will be of a great importance. You will aim to grow Upfield business stronger in order to achieve our growth & profit business targets, and to grow our business ahead of the market.
Led by the Trade Marketing Manager, you will work in strong collaboration with the sales, logistics, finance & marketing departments in order to sustainably grow our business.
Your strong motivation, your knowledge within the Greek FMCG or retail landscape will be able to build strong relationships and to drive our Plant based growth agenda year on year.
You will be responsible for building Trade Category Plan combining category / customer insights / brand plans to fit company and brands strategy.
You will be developing promotional guidelines to ensure strategy implementation.
You will be driving S&OP process, drive gap filling initiatives.
You will be co-leading Category performance (P&L Net Sales, profitability, market shares).
You will be landing trade stories to customers (innovation, price increases, annual plans etc.
You will be supporting Accounts teams to better understand category trends, performance, competition, shopper behaviors, etc.
You will be ensurinh brand communication in store (POP material).
You will be coordinating national promotions and quantities allocation to customers.
You will be running CatMan projects (assortment, range / shelf, planograms proposal, evaluation).
So what does it take to be successful in this role?
You have a proven track record of 2 years in Trade Marketing, Category Management.
You have good understanding of business financials and analytical skills.
You have a great communication and presentation skills.
You are fluent in English.
You have hands-on, entrepreneurial mindset with customer focused attitude.
You are able to work both independently and as a team member.
You have excellent knowledge in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint).
Your strong personality and entrepreneurial spirit will help you to identify and develop collaboration opportunities in order to achieve growth in both short and long term.
