We are looking for a new Head of Innovation and portfolio Europe to act as the driving force to drive the growth of our brands through innovation and portfolio. You aim to make sure we have a perfectly defined and executed growth strategy, taking ownership of the cadence of innovations, based on strong knowledge of the category drivers.

You define all key elements of a thorough portfolio strategy, from core assortment to format and pricing. You ensure the perfect execution in markets, and are relentless in hacking the portfolio gaps to deliver growth. You are able to combine strong analytics with practical creativity, are able to bring structure and vision, spotting the growth and innovation opportunities. Shaping them into relevant product propositions.

About the position

Together with the Brand director Europe, you will act as a key innovation portfolio strategy lead, identifying the growth spaces, defining the overall consumer target strategy, occasions, pricing, and other pillars for growth.

You will lead the innovation agenda, crafting new product propositions. This based on strong analytics and understanding of the category, our brands and competition. 

You will work in close collaboration with the brand leads, as well as with the local businesses.  

You will drive growth with the local businesses by identifying the portfolio gaps, and making sure we do have the strongest competitive portfolio in each market for each brand.  

You will bring clarity in defining the right measures and KPI’s, and in collaboration with the insight’s teams, ensure discipline to the tracking and delivery of these KPIs  

Together with the EU team, you will advocate for continuous process improvement across all marketing disciplines, ensuring clear way of workings for all local/global marketing dependencies (ex. gate innovation moves, ways of working with global insights team.

So what does it take to be successful in this role?

You are a seasoned all-round marketer with experience in building (local) brands, embracing new agile marketing methods with a minimum of 10 years of marketing experience, including managing transformational agenda and delivering growth through a structured thoughtful approach.  

You have a strong strategic transformation mindset, combined with the ability to drive change with high energy and practical approach to getting stuff done in a collaborative, cross functional way. Having the ability to think conceptually but execute with simplicity. 

You have experience in portfolio and innovation management and steering/collaborating with R&D. 

You have strong executive maturity and emotional intelligence, ability to connect and lead a large number of processes, teams, disciplines. 

You love combining practical creativity, with A head for numbers – data analytics should come naturally to you, and you use data to find insights that create value. 

You have track record for unlocking organizational energy through new ways of working. 

You have core aspects underpinning all skills: consumer empathy, creativity, analytical thinking, rigour, sharp and inspiring communication skills, complex project management skills, business planning, leading teams.
