About the position
As our Category Lead you lead the category management team for France which includes two direct reports and an external Field Sales Force. You are the right hand and direct report of the Country Lead. This means you will take over the team leadership when he’s not available.
In this role you are key in defining and observing the category to determine growth opportunities. You lead the definition and implementation of our commercial strategy from conception to execution in the field and coordinate and guard the application of it for the Key Account Managers. You will coordinate innovation and (re)launch definition and execution in the market and identify and set up channel strategies (retail, discount, Ecom, proxi, other).
Your main objectives in this role will be the focus on:
- Profitability Growth by driving the NRM agency through pricing, innovation, and promotional strategy
- Category Captaincy by consolidating our position as leader in plant based, for 2023 and beyond, towards the French trade
- Field Execution by leading the execution of the below the line strategy behind the new field team setup, fully dedicated to Upfield
So, what does it take to be successful in this role?
You possess strong experience in category management and customer facing roles. You know the ins and outs of the French trade and have multiple years of experience working with the French retailers. And without question you have experience and enjoy managing a team of people.
You describe yourself as a pragmatic person. You’re a self-starter and love to solve problems as they arise. You’re not afraid to take risks for the best outcome. Your friends and colleagues say you are enthusiastic, passionate and motivated.
As we operate in a global environment fluency in both French and English is required.
