About the position!
We are recruiting an independent Senior Accountant based in Poland and reporting to Finance Controller CEE. We are looking for an experienced professional to take care of books of the production entity and to keep accounting books accordance to local and international standards (IFRS).
In this role you will be preparing statutory accounts according to Polish Accounting Act. You will be also in charge of settlements of tax declarations (CIT, VAT) and preparation of periodic and annual reports: GUS, NBP, Intrastat etc.
You will be controlling settlements with banks, suppliers, recipients, other contractors and provisions. In addition, you will be managing intercompany reconciliations and transfer pricing calculations.
Last but not least, you will be managing and coordinating the annual external audit process and tax inspections.
So what does it take to be successful in this role?
You have academic background in business administration, Accounting or Finance field.
You have several years of experience in accounting with in-depth knowledge of accounting and tax rules and processes in Poland, preferably in production environment. Experience in external accounting company (preferably big4) would be a strong asset!
You are familiar with SAP or similar ERP system.
Fluent Polish and English is necessary.
You are great in numbers but also excellent in communication because you will have to build good relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Furthermore, you are flexible, responsible and able to work independently as well as part of a global dispersed team.
