Quality Manager

Location: Corlu,Turkey (Onsite)

Reports to: Regional Quality Lead-AMEA

 

Your Role

As a Quality Manager you have proven track of experience in monitoring, ensuring and managing food safety & quality as well as in the people management and development.
In this position you will report directly to the Regional Quality lead-AMEA and be part of the local leadership team in Corlu factory. You will occupy a key position in the Turkey business unit in which you will manage and support strategic projects in the factory and on a global quality level.
You will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our products, taking into account both external and internal requirements. As Quality Manager, you will lead the Quality Department in the day-to-day operation including in times of significant investment and product innovation, but at the same time you will not lose sight of details.

Key Accountabilities?

  • Responsibility for food safety (planning, implementation and assurance of quality and hygiene standards)
  • Development, implementation and maintenance of quality programs
  • Technical and disciplinary management of the quality department and laboratory
  • Key player in the Turkey business unit and global network - Management of strategic projects from a quality and food safety perspective
  • Authorization for the release / blocking of products for quality-related reasons
  • Analyzing quality performance and implementing improvements, introduction of working procedures and materials
  • Responsibility for hosting quality-oriented audits, including but not limited to IFS, FSSC22000, RSPO, AIB,ISO 9001,Customer audits and private label audits
  • First point of contact for quality-related internal and external inquiries (customers, suppliers etc.), management of quality-related incidents
  • Critical in role in Change Management & close collaboration with all other departments
  • Promotion of quality culture and continuous improvement in the plant

 

Key Requirements:

  • Degree in the food sector, Food/ Chemical Engineering, Industrial Chemistry, Biochemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Food Technology/Food Science
  • 5+ years of experience in QM in the food sector or pharmaceutical industry
  • Fluent English and Turkish (both spoken and written)
  • Good understanding of product and process management
  • HACCP knowledge, being a lead auditor in any quality or food safety related system is an added advantage
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills at all levels of the organization
  • Self-reliance & hands-on approach, ease in decision making and managing competing priorities.
  • Strong leadership skills and experience in a similar position, ability to lead, influence and inspire others.
  • Strong analytical skills including "can-do" and insurgent mindset.
