EU Equipment, MRO & Utilities Buyer


Location: Katowice - Poland 

Hybrid work (3 days from office a week) 


About the position: 

We are recruting experienced Buyer based in Poland (Katowice or Warsaw) who will be reporting directly to Global Procurement Manager Capex, MRO & Utilities based in the Netherlands. 

On this position you will have a great chance to cooperate with Procurement Global and Cluster teams, Engineering team, Manufacturing teams, R&D team, Legal, Finance business partners. Externaly you will be a Partner for Suppliers: Commercial management and Top management (CEO’s) of Key Suppliers, Agents, professional organization, industry bodies, advisors and benchmarking organizations. 

Your main job purpose will be strategic source the Capex, MRO and Utilities for Upfield’s factories (in Katowice but also in other countires).  

On daily basis you will be ensuring source of goods and services within the defined scopebut also supporting in delivering Value Creation Programs across the global network of suppliers by negotiations contracts and leading the Supplier Relationship Management (SRM). 

You will be developing and maintaing working relationships with both internal and external business stakeholders.

To deliver key financial targets you will be responsible for gross margin improvements through savings and cash flow improvement by applying e.g. smart buying tools.


So what does it take to be successful in this role?

You have several years of experience in procurement and contracting, ideally in an international company.

You are able to analyze sourcing data and conceptualize sourcing strategies.

Negotiation, influencing, and stakeholder management skills are essential.

An experience in large-scale change management projects will be a big plus.  

It would be perfect if you enjoy working in a virtual and multicultural working environment and you exemplify a high degree of personal integrity. 

Fluent in English, both verbally and in writing is a must.
