Location: Onsite at our Brantford Facility - 10 Craig St, Brantford, ON N3R 7J1, Canada
Salary: Up to $130,000 CAD per year, 10% bonus structure YoY
What's the position?
The 2nd Class Engineer, is responsible for the safe and efficient operation, maintenance, service and repair of all equipment and process systems in the plant. The incumbent will be involved in equipment installation, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, equipment modifications and repairs. Operators need to show a high degree of motivation and initiative with a proven ability to positively work in a team setting.
What does it take to be successful in this role?
You will need to have a 2nd class engineering distinction with a minimum of 4 years experience in the engineering and maintenance or related professional area. With technical training in HVAC-R/electrical/plumbing OR degree in related field and experience with having performed maintenance on refrigeration units will be helpful. You will have to have a strong knowledge of motor controls, A/C inverters, frequency drives and hazardous material handling and disposal procedures along with hydraulic and pneumatic repair skills, the ability to read and understand electrical codes, electronic drawings, schematics, diagrams, blueprints, equipment manuals, PLC's, and electromechanical systems. If you have experience in a similar role in the food processing industry and managing maintenance staff in an industrial facility you will crush it!
