About the position

While supporting France and Belgium markets, your purpose is to make sure all pricing data is accurate and up to date. You will coordinate the campaign process to ensure correct pricing, timing, and volumes. You will actively participate in the pricing process development, while ensuring consistency and excellence in execution. The role involves both analytical tasks and co-operation with key internal and external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities are providing operative pricing support for Key Account Managers, developing pricing processes, and maintaining Product Information Management system. You will also manage the customer billback process.

As our next Sales & Pricing Specialist you act as an active challenger for our Sales function to deliver strategy. This is done by aligning systems, implementing structured approaches, and taking responsibility to ensure these are carried through to develop customer and shopper benefits. This position is based in Paris (France).

The two sides of Pricing specialist role are:

Business Pricing and System Pricing – act as a bridge between the Sales team (looks after the business side - they have less or no exposure to system and how it works or on how the data needs to be transformed into system working information) and the MDM team (they do not have the business visibility in terms of accounts that have specifications, - and which are critical for the business - and as they don’t have the business point of view, they lack insights on where actions need to be taken and what terms we have, what structure we aim to achieve and why, etc).

The role is expected to combine both business knowledge/communications and system actions so that the translation from Sales language (requesting a Net invoice price) to a transaction in SAP and related reporting language works seamlessly for the business.

In-house pricing person – you will setup the prices from Gross Sales Value to Net Invoice Value. Work closely with all departments and to action changes in SAP which defines the two sides of the role of a Pricing Specialist. You will have a business role in which you will define the need of the market: what are the prices the Sale team requires? What are the promotions and accruals we have? How is the business performing in terms of pricing accuracy?

Regarding the Business responsibilities for this role, you will maintain a good communication within the business (key departments being Supply chain, Sales, Credit control, Master data, customer service). Report daily or weekly in a timely and accurate manner. On top of that, you’ll be aligned to new processes as they get defined (by doing some data cleansing, changing the structure of the process, or changing in the terms with a customer and updating to discount conditions in SAP, etc.)

Additionally, you will support the Credit control team in reviewing price claims, invoices and re-invoicing process if needed. As Pricing Specialist, you will also support the Commercial finance team with relevant pricing information and validating system data vs. requested Net Invoice price won’t have any secrets for you. You will support customer service in case of pricing error in an open order which can lead to shortage in sales.

So what does it take to be successful in this role?

You have at least 2 years of experience from a similar role, preferably from Fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) or retail business. Furthermore, we prefer if you have worked in SAP SD (ERP) and MS Excel. The role requires fluent communication in English and French, both written and spoken.

To succeed in this position, you need to have good social skills and an ability to succeed in a hectic environment. On top, your attention to detail ensures our success in customer development.
