As Business Analyst, you lead the development of the end-to-end Record-to-Report process on a global scale. You are improving the process, the solution, and the organizational competences regarding Record-to-Report. Mind that this is more a finance business role, and NOT a technical role.

 

About the position

As the Business Analyst you will lead the identification, design, implementation, documentation, and communication of process improvements in Record to Report. Record-to-Report involves system configuration understanding, month end closure activities inside and outside SAP S4 HANA, reporting through various BI tools and consolidation. The improvements will often have an IT solution component and will always focus on end-to-end process efficiency. You will be part of a cross functional development team. You continuously monitor the process performance, and you identify opportunities for improvement together with business partners. You stay close to the key stakeholders in the various countries to identify improvements and training or competence development needs.

You review and challenge proposed process and solution changes from other process owners to safeguard compliance, efficiency and simplicity in the process and solution. You continuously balance different business needs and cost and benefit case to come to the best possible approach based on a structured discussion and by engaging the right cross functional partners

As development Manager of Record-to-Report you are expected to lead and manage system and process-based changes having both global and regional impact. Manage communication with internal stakeholders. You lead global process templates with statement of process across financial processes, provide training and support change adoption with users and project manage system-based changes along with IT implementation partners.  

You also manage R2R development roadmaps with appropriate prioritization and participate in cross functional development roadmap and change engagements. So you are a key player in the development of R2R in a fast moving company that has the state of the art operating model including the latest SAP and suit of technology.

While working with stakeholders from different parts of the organization you are able to quickly develop your understanding of specific processes. You focus on delivering business value and simplification, making decisions on priority and weighting benefit and cost of initiatives is part of your daily work. Mind that this is NOT a technical role.

 

What does it take to be successful

For this Business Analyst Record-to-Report, we are looking for a top performer with an outstanding educational and work background.  Have a minimum of 8 years of experience within relevant positions. FMCG experience is a big plus.  You are experienced in the end-to-end process development for finance with hands-on experience as SAP user and have advanced knowledge of S4/HANA enterprise structures, financial accounting (FI) and Controlling (CO). Having extensive experience in SAP as user of financial system is a must in this role. You are experienced in understanding financial reconciliations process (Revenue, COGS, etc.) and month-end processes in supply chain finance (Product costing and Material ledger). You ensure business process designs are in alignment with best practices and deployed with appropriate controls.

You have good knowledge of business intelligence solutions and of system integration.

As a person you have high energy to engage in communication with stakeholders to identify, understand and implement solution and process developments. And you are a highly motivated critical, organized, and structured person and you are experienced in project management both under the waterfall and agile method. You are resilient under (time) pressure. Also, you feel comfortable within a start-up environment, where processes are to be built and responsibilities are not yet set in stone.
