Nutritious

Our delicious products can help people on their plant-based journey, by replacing dairy with nutritious, healthy plant-based options. Following a plant-based diet can help to improve our health and make us feel better day-by-day.

Good fats

As Generation Plant, we care about what we put into our bodies. We want delicious, nutritious foods that help us grow and flourish. The plant oils in Upfield’s products contain essential fatty acids like omega-3 and omega-6. Our plant-based spreads are lower in saturated fats than their dairy counterparts, instead containing more “good fats” (polyunsaturated and monounsaturated fats).

Lowering “bad” cholesterol

Cholesterol is vital to help our bodies function, but too much cholesterol can be a problem for cardiovascular health. Phytosterols are naturally occurring molecules found in everyday plant-based foods like plant oils, nuts, seeds, grains and vegetables. They can partially block the uptake of dietary and biliary cholesterol from the gut, resulting in a reduction in LDL (“bad”) cholesterol in the blood. It’s not possible to get enough phytosterols to have an effect by just eating these ingredients alone. That is why our products made with added phytosterols can help achieve the recommended dose to lower bad cholesterol in the blood. All that, and it tastes incredible too.

With a little extra

We have a range of products designed to make you happier and healthier. That means we often add essential micronutrients like vitamins A, B12 and D into our products. This (fortification) helps to tackle micronutrient deficiencies by providing some of the micronutrients that we all need.
