Are you ready to take full ownership of the financial accounting for three countries and work with your colleagues on taking our Financial Control operations to the next level in Europe?  

The Financial Controller for Netherlands will be reporting into the Senior Financial Controller for Northern and South West Europe and will play a critical role in the NO/SW Europe finance team focusing on core financial controls, audit, governance, P2P and month end. There are also key working relationships that need to be established & maintained across the group especially with the shared services group, tax, treasury and the outsource provider Capgemini. There will be work required to produce Statutory accounts for the Netherlands legal entity in line with the reporting deadlines the country.


You ensure all accounting, control and governance company policies and processes are adhered to. You maintain integrity of the Balance Sheet, ensuring clear management & ownership with regular management reviews.  Work with Shared Services team to understand key movements and recommend actions to rectify if appropriate. You take ownership in the month end close process to stated group timetable deadlines. You ensure local tax compliance and reporting, in conjunction with local advisers and you lead the statutory reporting and audit process, in conjunction with the internal and external auditors.

Ensure integrity of monthly payroll before posting into SAP, liaise with HR team on queries, be the finance point of contact for the outsourced payroll provider and you monthly report on overheads.


In order to be successful in this role, you bring a bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Business and preferably a accounting degree, or you are working towards a professional qualification. You work delivery-focussed with a high degree of ownership and a positive, growth mindset. You easily built relationships on cross-functional level and with both internal and external stakeholders.
