About the Position
The Category Manager for Walmart will be working for the largest plant-based consumer products company in the world on Upfield’s largest customer! Plant-based food is a growing, strategic, and dynamic segment of many grocery categories. You will be a trusted partner with Walmart and the Walmart sales team to drive sustainable category growth. In this role, you will work to identify market trends, shopper insights, and competitive threats to enhance customer strategies. You will leverage multiple data sources to gain a deep understanding of consumer and shopper behavior. In parallel, you'll use shopper-specific granular analytics from several data sources to support the sales team in their execution of Upfield’s mission and customer strategy.
So what does it take to be successful in this role?
You must have extensive experience developing strategic relationships with Walmart or Sam’s Club merchants in sales or category management. In order to be successful in this role, you will have demonstrated analytical and critical thinking to develop compelling selling stories, strong thought-leadership and influencing skills, data analysis, problem-solving, and storytelling experience. Most importantly, you will need to have extensive knowledge of syndicated data via IRI and/or Nielsen and other data sources in the role, including Retail Link/MADRID, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, and Tableau. If you are a self-starter, with a creative, entrepreneurial spirit, ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines, takes the initiative, and puts ideas forward, you will crush it here. You’ll have to enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and it will take hard work and determination; we will give you the ownership you need to make an impact.
